Weather

Light SE at start, fading the first night, then NE. Freshening line squall from south of Gabo Island and E to SE down the Tasmanian coast.

Leaders were becalmed off Maria Island and suffered from light airs up the Derwent while the second half of the fleet had fresh NW winds down the coast and up the Derwent.
