Bush Paul Group

Bush Paul Group

When launched this boat was named Rush and was raced successfully in the USA for two seasons. The boat was then sold to Australia and renamed to Cougar II sailing out of Sandringham Yacht Club before being renamed to Highfield Caringbah. The boat is now named Bush Paul Group and races out of the CYCA. This Farr designed and Cookson NZ built TP 52 was purchased by the Fifty Two Hundred Syndicate in early 2017 and has had extensive upgrade and optimization work completed, as well as adding a complete new sail wardrobe manufactured by Ian Short Sails P/L from Sydney.

The boat competed as Highfield Caringbah in 2018 Noakes Sydney Gold Coast and finished a credible second to new TP52 Ichi Ban in Division 1 IRC and also third overall on IRC. The owners and experienced offshore racing crew are looking forward to this years’ Rolex Sydney Hobart Race, hoping to improve on last year’s result.
