Another Painkiller

Another Painkiller is a well campaigned Beneteau 44.7 sailed by an eclectic crew from the Southport Yacht Club (SYC). Another Painkiller is currently the SYC Offshore Club champion. She last raced to Hobart in 2017 finishing in the middle of the fleet. More recently she raced in this year’s Noakes Sydney Gold Coast Race. Another Painkiller was formerly known as Alacrity and her best Hobart result was a 16th overall and third in Division D in 2006. Rod West Another Painkiller’s Skipper competed in 50th Hobart and plans to bookend this with the 75th. He is joined this year by his daughter Nicole and another father and daughter combo, Barry and Jess Berg. Objectives for this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart include beating SYC rival Ocean Gem, and old Army mate Shane Kearns (Komatsu Azzurro).
