Maluka
Sean Langman is switching from speed to nostalgia by restoring a 1932 built 9m Ranger to contest this year’s Rolex Sydney Hobart 70 years after the boat made its only successful voyage to Hobart having being wrecked on the first attempt. An eight month full restoration of the gaff-rigged Maluka at Langman's Woolwich Shipyard is expected to be completed by late November, just four weeks before the oldest boat in the fleet joins start of the Boxing Day classic. Maluka is expected to stay on in Hobart for the February Wooden Boat Festival.
