Trouble & Strife was built in New Zealand and is the sistership to the yacht now known as Kanreki, which is also entered for the 80^th Rolex Sydney Hobart, so the two should be good rivals for each other. According to her owner, Matt Williams, Trouble & Strife is crewed by an enthusiastic mix of youth and experience and has competed in a range of inshore and offshore events including Brisbane to Gladstone, Brisbane to Keppel and Brisbane to Hamilton Island races.

Williams has contested two Sydney Hobarts with this Cookson 12 - in 2022 and last year. Trouble & Strife’s best offshore result so far was first in IRC and ORCI in the 2022 Brisbane to Hamilton Island Yacht Race.
