This lovely looking two year-old Hanse was constructed in Germany and is back for a second shot at the Rolex Sydney Hobart. A weighty cruiser, built for comfort, rather than speed, this yacht is built to handle a heavy seaway and has all the comforts of home on board, including a cellar. There will be no extended periods on the rail for these guys, who sure to be well fed before being tucked up when off-watch.   

The envy of many when she was parked at the CYCA pre-Hobart start, Geomatic finished a good 10^th overall in PHS in her maiden Hobart last year after crossing the line in a respectable 51^st place. In January this year, she finished fifth in Cruising Division 1 at the Festival of Sails. Lewis’ hands will consist of a mixture of recent and long standing crew who are prepared to go the distance.
