Copernicus was built by Dillon Boatworks in Taree and launched in January 2008 and this is her first season of ocean racing. She finished 22nd overall in this year's Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race which was her first serious offshore contest. Copernicus also competed in Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, finishing 9th in PHS Passage Division. Owner Greg Zyner’s sailing highlights include 2nd in Division in the 2007 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, 1st in Division Pittwater to Coffs Harbour 2007 and 4th Gosford Lord Howe Island 2007.
