Ninety Seven's best result in a Sydney Hobart was taking line honours in the gale swept race of 1993. After a full optimisation and a good performance at Hamilton Island this year, owner Graham Gibson and crew are confident of maintaining the yacht's record of finishing in the top across the line, in all her Sydney Hobart races, with the exception of last year when she retired with sail damage.
