Launched in 1982, Impulse has competed in most of the major offshore races conducted from Fremantle. She has been crowned Division B Bluewater Champion for the past four years and is one of only two yachts to be sailing from Fremantle to Sydney for this years Telstra 55th Sydney to Hobart Yacht race. Impulse's journey to Sydney for the Boxing Day start began in October when she left Fremantle to avoid the summer sou'easter's.
