Leading the United States' first challenge for the Southern Cross Cup since 1979, Sidewinder was the top American boat in the Admiral's Cup and the top individual yacht in the inshore races, with placings of 3-5-2. She was fourth top individual yacht for the entire Admiral's Cup. This powerful 44-footer will be well suited to Australian conditions and owner Randy Short plans to contest other Australian races after the Sydney to Hobart.
