Profile
Back in 1955 the aptly named Evergreen, then named Even, took line honours in the Sydney-Hobart race. Now based at Gove in the Northern Territory she took line honours and third on corrected time in the 1986 Darwin to Ambon race. Evergreen was built in Sydney in 1952 from best Australian timbers and materials to Lloyds specifications, and the craftsmanship of expert Australian shipwrights is still evident in her hull today.
