Dry White has shown evidence of good boat speed since launching in 1984, but the Sydney to Hobart race seems to be a hoodoo event for her, having failed to finish on both occasions she has started. She was dismasted in a big blow of 1984 when she was one of the race favourites and failed again in 1985. She returns again with a very experienced new owner.
