Polaris would be somewhere in the top 3 or 4 yachts in terms of the number of Hobart she has done. Owned by Les Savage of Newcastle, this Cole 43 has proved a hard competitor since launching in 1971. In her first few years of life she managed to finish in the top 20, and she is only retired once. An outdated design by today's standards, she will be slow, but can be assured she will be going strong when it counts.
