Utiekah IV is a steel Van der Stadt design launched in 1969 in Tasmania. She raced in the 1969 Hobart race and had the misfortune to strike a whale and come off second best with severe structural damage. Competed again in 1970 and 1972, then faded from the scene for many years. Still based in Hobart at DSS, she gives away much in performance to the modern lightweights.
