Kidnapper is a relatively new yacht design to the half-ton rating by John Lidgard. She was launched in June this year and is a member of the New Zealand team to compete in the Half Ton Cup challenge series conducted by the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron in December. Kidnapper should be at her peak for the race to Hobart which starts only a few days after the finish of the Half Ton series and many yachtsmen interested in entering this growing fleet, will watch her performance closely
