Dark and Stormy

Stuart, Terry and Michael have sailed together for many years and have competed in a range of ocean, state titles and club races. However having completed Rolex Sydney Hobarts in 2016 and 2017 they have realised their dream to compete with their own boat. In order to make this happen Stuart and Terry had to make the tough decision to sell their previous yacht SS Feathersword, an Amitage Design 9m Sports Boat, which was raced to great success. It also featured in many Wiggles DVDs. Both Stuart and Terry feature in a few DVDs such as ‘Sailing Around the World’, with Terry playing the role of the main character ‘Pirate Eleftherios’.

This family owned team have worked tirelessly on Dark and Stormy with the help of their long term partner Wastewise Environmental and believe they are now in with a great chance to show some of the newer/bigger boats how it’s done.

Despite Stuart’s claim that 2001 race was going to be his last, the chance to be part of the 75^th race was too good a chance to miss. This race has close family ties with the crew as Stuart and his son, Michael, enter their third race together with son in-law to be Tom doing his second on Dark and Stormy.
