Takani

In her maiden Sydney Hobart in 2014, James Whittle sailed Takani to PHS 12^th, but retired in 2015 with rudder damage. Disappointing for crew Bill Ratcliff who was clocking up his 47^th Hobart and looking forward to finishing. Takani came into Debbie and Jim Whittle’s lives in 2012 and was named for their children; Taylah, Kasey and Nicholas. In 2014, Taylah, at 19, contested her first Hobart and returns this year; Jim celebrated his 50th birthday on Boxing Day. Finished PHS seventh in the 2016 Sydney Gold Coast race. Ratcliff is aboard for his 48^th Hobart, and will be joined by daughter, Katrina, making two fathers and daughters.
