Ambition is the former Enterprise Next Generation which came to Australia from the Fast 40 circuit in the UK. It was modified for offshore racing before placing seventh in 2022 to win Division 2 for its previous owner. The GP42 was bought by Chris Dare in March.

It will be co-skippered by him and 25-year-old son, Lockie, with whom he won the 2025 J/70 Australian Championship with his other Ambition.
