Position reports are provided by boats by HF radio in “skeds” conducted by a team headed by CYCA Life Member and Past Commodore David Kellett on the Radio Relay Vessel MV JBW, kindly made available to CYCA by John Winning of Appliances Online.  

With the assistance of Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, the skeds are streamed through the race website. 

This is a recording of the sked conducted with the fleet on the morning of 29 December, with the static and atmospheric interference just as the boats hear it.
