Scarlet Ribbon

This will be Scarlet Ribbon’s second offshore race with her new owner Richard Buxton and she will be one of two boats entered in the Cruising Division.  Buxton is the author of the coffee table book If Matthew Flinders Had Wings and is using his sailing endeavours to raise awareness for mental health research. Scarlet Ribbon’s  competed in this year’s Audi Sydney Gold Coast Yacht Race and Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, and spent the last few months cruising the Whitsundays. She will head south to Sydney via Lord Howe Island to take to the start line of the 2010 Rolex Sydney Hobart. In 2012, Scarlet Ribbon will head off to circumnavigate the world over a 10 year period
