Secret Men's Business 1

Secret Men's Business 1

Secret Mens Business 1 was designed by Iain Murray and built in 1996 by Bolton Yachts in Adelaide for original owner Geoff Boettcher. It competed up and down the east and south coast of Australia with its best result being a third in division in the 2003 Rolex Sydney Hobart. SMB was overhauled in 2002 with a new MBD keel and swept spreader carbon rig with short footed headsails and a bow pole in 2007. The current owners bought the boat late in 2006. It races out of RPAYC on Pittwater and always has a great mix of parents and their sons and daughters on board (graduates from the Alfred’s Youth development academy). SMB #1 has finished 2nd in Division 1 Coffs Harbour Series 2007 and 2nd in IRC and 1st PHS in the Bird Island Race in the 2007/08 Blue Water Series. The boat has contested 8 Sydney Hobarts, 2008 being the second by its current owners of Rob Curtis, Ross Trembath and Doug Snedden.
