ASM Brindabella

ASM Brindabella

Australia’s most famous maxi ASM Brindabella, a former line honours winner of the Rolex Sydney Hobart and holder of the record for a conventionally ballasted boat, as well as many other Australian east coast race records including Audi Sydney Gold Coast Race, the Audi Sydney Newcastle Offshore Race, the Bird Island Race. Short  relaunched the boat in 2007 having modified the boat by adding a bow. A highly experienced offshore sailor, Short has had good success overseas this year including a line honours divisional win in the Newport Bermuda race (in his new boat ASM Shockwave 5) and a win in the cruising division at the Koh Samui Regatta. Short will try to squeeze the most out of his Jutson 79 for its 14th trip south.
