Quest now flys the Tassie flag for veteran skipper John Bennetto who has stepped up to this offshore champion from his previous yacht Mirrabooka.
Quest’s career includes a first and a second Overall in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race, a win in the 2003 Australian IRC Offshore Championship and wins in the 2003 Sydney Mooloolaba and 2004 Sydney Gold Coast Races, including this year’s.
John holds the record for the most number of Hobarts by a yachtsman - 43 - and the combined number of Sydney Hobart Races amongst the crew is 190.
