Fortuna
The yacht Fortuna was built by Sir Ralph Whishaw for his own use at his home in 650 Sandy Bay Road, Hobart, under the supervision of Mr. Percy Coverdale and launched in 1946. The 1958 Sydney Hobart Race programs says: “The design was from a half model of Percy Coverdale’s “Chloe”.
Fortuna was sold to William Fesq of Sydney in February 1949.
She has sailed in the 1947, 1949, 1950 and 1951 Sydney to Hobart Yacht races.
