The 2019 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is going to be extra special

There’s plenty to look forward to in the world of sailing, with the 2018 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race just a month away – and a landmark race to be held in 2019.

The 2019 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is the 75th in the history of the race, ever since John H Illingworth asked “Why don’t we make a race of it?” – and it’s set to be the largest fleet we have seen since the 50th edition of the race.

Whether you’re involved in this year’s race or not, start preparing your boat and crew for the 75th, a special celebration of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s great race.

The Notice of Race for the 75th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is due out in February, with a fleet of 135-140 expected for this anniversary race.
